“Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15 -NKJ

Men, are you looking for a place that you can grow in the Word of God? Are you looking for a place where you can get answers to some of those life questions that seem to evade you?  A place where you can express your thoughts freely and not be criticized?

Maybe a time in God’s Word with other men can be just the solution you need.

At The Rising, we understand that we all go through similar struggles. We have a safe place where we can express those struggles- at our mens study group. At The Rising Men’s Group we don’t act like we have it all together. We speak honestly about life and how to navigate through some of the difficult dilemas we as men go through, and we dont go through them alone.

The TRC Men’s Bible Study is a place where we spend time praying, studying, and discussing the Word of God, as well as go through books we feel help shine light on scripture and our walk as a believer. Each week we do an expository study going through a particular portion of a book of the Bible or a group picked non-fiction book. We look at the scripture through a lens of grace and allow for discussion with difficult verses. Keeping verses in their proper context is vital to getting a true meaning of the story God is trying to tell to His people. Knowing who wrote a book, where it was written, to whom it was written, and the circumstances as to why it was written can give us a better interpretation of the Scriptures.

We also emphasize building strong relationships with each other. It is very important to study with men that care and are concerned about each other. Knowing that we can share what’s really on our minds and not be scoffed at is very important to us. Also, confidentiality is stressed on a continual basis. Sharing one’s true feelings is very helpful to the individual and the group as a whole. Therefore, we encourage open dialogue and wherever possible allow the Word of God to be the final authority.

Hopefully, you will find a place where you can not only grow spiritually, but also develop a better understanding of God’s Word and build deeper relationships with other men.
