Biblical Community

We believe in community at The Rising. It is part of God’s design; He calls us a body. These sermons shed light on anything pertaining to community and how we at The Rising view community and believe we are to function with-in community.

Discipleship

Sermons that fall under this category will often have messages on disciples whether it be examples in scripture or how-to teachings on disciples.

Emotions

These sermons speak on emotions and how they speak to us and how they are tied into our spirit.

Faith

These sermons speak on faith, what it means to walk by faith, and faith as described by scripture.

Forgiveness

Sermons on forgiveness will refer to Jesus death for the remission of sins, Gods forgiveness for His people, and our duty to forgive. Some forgiveness sermons may be linked with the grace category as well.

Glory/Holiness

This category will encompass anything that refers to being holy and set apart or teachings on the glory of God, as well as what it means to be glorified and to be in glory.

Grace

This is a popular category based on the fact that we are a grace driven church. These sermons will speak on the grace of God and the undeserved unmerited favor we receive. They may be paired with forgiveness or relationship categories. These messages may also have teachings on grace and law.

Leadership

The Rising had a month dedicated to leadership and vision and so birthed this category of teaching. These sermons are impactful and informative about how God views leadership, vision, and the way HE uses his people to lead and build toward the vision given to His body.

Life of Christ

Sermons that fall in this category will speak on the life Christ lived from a child up until His resurrection. Sermons that speak on the personality and character of Christ may also fall under this category.

Prayer

Sermons on purpose might include gifting’s and abilities given to us by God, creation and why we are here, and

Sermons based on salvation can range anywhere from Christ’s death to grace. These sermons will encompass what it means to be saved and what grace means about salvation.

These sermons fall into this category because they are a slightly more easy listen. You may not need as much Biblical knowledge to understand these. These have very powerful messages that people of all types can understand and learn from
